The Board of trustees is mandated to approve Members of the National Executive Council, approve annual workplans and budgets, offer guidance to and carry out an oversight role over the National Executive Council. It is currently comprised of a team of ten members who are men and women of impeccable record in service of Islam and Barr vast experience in Management, knowledge of Islam and mastery of the Qur’an. The board chairman is also the patron of the organization.
The National executive Council is tasked with running the day-to-day activities of the organization. It is composed of a team of eight youthful members with differen skills especially in leadership and mastery of the Qur’an.
The National Executive Council is led by the Chairman and organized into six departments for ease of implementation of its activities. Thedepartments are;
This department is tasked with the responsibility of mobilizing all persons that memorized the Qur’an in Uganda not only to contribute to the cause of FROQAN but to understand their unique challenges and find means of addressing them, to understand the opportunities ahead of them and devise means of taking advantage of them. The key activities of this Department include, collecting, keeping and updating the Hufaadh data base, certify new Qur’an memorizers, conduct Taraweeh Prayers, enhance Capacity of Qur’an teachers through trainings and developing Qur’an teaching standards, organize Qur’an competitions as well as conducting sports activities for Hufaadh.
This department is specifically concerned with institutions that specialize in teaching the Qur’an for purposes of memorization. It is tasked with collecting, keeping and updating the data base of all Qur’an memorization centers for purposes of mobilizing them to appreciate their unique challenges and devise means of addressing them. It is concerned with ensuring production of high-Quality Qur’an memorizers, to advise on best practices and standards of a good Tahfidh School. The department conducts annual courtesy visits to identified Tahfidh schools and organizes workshops for tahfidh centers.
This department is charged with implementing Qur’an related programs in identified secondary schools especially those where there is no clear administrative arrangement for Qur’an teaching or where the school administration has interest but doesn’t have the personal to conduct the services. The main activities of this department include Qur’an teaching, Qur’an seminars, Qur’an Competitions and creation of Qur’an clubs.
This Department is concerned with implementing Qur’an related programs in institutions of higher learning like universities and other tertiary institutions as well as organized women groups. The key activities are Qur’an teaching, seminars and Qur’an Competitions.
The department is concerned with implementing the FROQAN activities in Mosques as well as mobilizing Sheihks to contribute to the FROQAN cause. Some of the activities of the Department include Conducting Juma sermons, organizing Qur’an Halaqaat and carrying out courtesy visits to sheihks that have made a contribution to the Qur’an.
This department implements FROQAN activities to the rest of the members of Public that are not covered in any of the above departments. Some of its activities include Teaching Qur’an mainly at FROQAN office, organizing public lectures and other general activities.
